The varie and rich repertory of our theatre attracted many famous interpretes, as Laura Niculescu, Pompei Harasteanu, Massimiliano Drapello, Jivko Pranchev, Liliana Nichiteanu, Ianos Acs, Andreea Griminelli, Jethro Tall, who collaborated in numerous successful performances in our country and in Europe.

During its over 50 years of activity, Galati Musical Theatre “Nae Leonard” staged tens  of significant operas from the worldwide repertory, from Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” to Verdi’s “Aida” or Wagner “The Flying Dutchman”.

     May, 25th 2002 is a reference date in the golden book of Galati Musical Theatre:then took place an event of national importance, the first performance of an opera in the open air in Romania: “Nabucco” by Giuseppe Verdi an exceptional achievement benefiting of the participation of over 250 artists and gathering an audience of most 2000 spectators.

     The professionist artists of Galati Musical Theatre (singers, orchestra and chorus) have successfully performed many operas in Italy and San Marino with “Tosca”, “Madama Butterfly”, “Rigoletto “, “Aida” and Germany, among wich “La Traviata”, “ Nabucco” and “Die Nacht der 5 Tenore”alongside of great soloist :Gianluca Zampieri, Giuliano di Filippo, Orfeo Zanetti, Claudio Barbieri, Vincenzo Sanso, Carlo Torriani, Aldo Bertolo, Rubens Pelizzari, Jan Anderson, Andreea Griminelli, Jethro Tull, a.s.o.
